Alternative Fuel Production Plant – Detailed Design of the Steel Structure for the Distillation Building

The building has dimensions of 24.89 × 15.90 m and a total height of approximately 23 m, including the external staircase.

Structural system:
• Transverse frames spaced at regular intervals
• External columns made of wide-flange HEA sections and central columns made of HEB sections
• Beams made of wide-flange HEA sections
• Roof purlins designed as continuous multi-span beams using IPE sections
• Main columns are fixed into the foundation, while beams are pinned to the columns

Spatial stability of the structure is ensured by a system of bracings:
• Longitudinal vertical bracing
• Transverse roof bracing
• Horizontal bracing at elevation +10.00 and at roof level

The roof is covered with trapezoidal steel sheeting, Class II, in accordance with PN-EN 1993-1-3, to ensure purlin stability.
