Workshop/steel
Construction works in progress
Design author's supervision
The facility is a single-storey, double-bay hall:
• Bay 1: 24.085 × 25.000 m, ridge height 39.060 m, eaves height 37.840 m
• Bay 2: 19.705 × 25.000 m, eaves height 22.880 m
• Structure: Lightweight steel frame founded on a raft slab supported by piles
• Total building height: 39.743 m
The structural system is based on repetitive transverse frames arranged at regular intervals. Beams and external lattice columns are made of wide-flange I-sections and closed steel profiles. The pipe support system consists of grids formed by longitudinal and transverse beams. The roof purlins are designed as continuous multi-span IPE beams.
Structural stability is ensured by a system of bracings:
• Vertical bracing in external columns and the central support
• Transverse roof bracing
• Longitudinal vertical bracing between girders
• Longitudinal horizontal bracing in the external bays
The roof is covered with trapezoidal steel sheeting, Class II in accordance with PN-EN 1993-1-3, for purlin stability.
