Building 2.01 is a single-storey facility with a reinforced concrete structure and a steel superstructure.
The reinforced concrete portion is approximately 18 m high, and the total height including the superstructure is about 25 m.
The building footprint is approximately 39 m × 39 m. The slag valorization hall is structurally separated from adjacent buildings by expansion joints along its entire perimeter.
The main load-bearing structure of the roof is a steel superstructure supported by I-section steel columns resting on reinforced concrete beams.
The steel roof trusses, spanning 39.22 m, are made of closed square hollow sections and have a double-pitched trapezoidal geometry – approx. 2.8 m high at the supports and 3.3 m at mid-span.
In the transverse direction, the steel girders are braced with:
• Lateral trusses and purlins at the top chord level
• Bracing and purlins made of square hollow sections
• Additional bracing with Ø27 mm round bars
Further stiffening of the superstructure is provided by:
• Steel diagonal struts made of closed square hollow sections
• Facade-mounted bracing consisting of Ø27 mm round bars
